Extraction method of sugarcane wax
2024-12-04
The extraction methods of sugarcane wax mainly include the following:
1. Solvent extraction method
Solvent extraction is a commonly used method for extracting sugarcane wax, which mainly includes a two-step method and a one-step method.
Two-step method: first separate the sugarcane fat and then extract the hard sugarcane wax.
One-step method: first extract the crude sugarcane wax and then defeat and refine it.
In actual operation, the specific steps of solvent extraction may vary depending on the solvent used and the process conditions. For example, alcohol, hot gasoline single solvent, or ethanol-gasoline mixed solvent can be used for extraction. The crude wax yield of these methods varies but is usually between 4% and 7%. The extraction efficiency can be further improved by optimizing the experimental design and analysis methods, such as using response surface methodology (a mathematical and statistical method used to study the performance of processes or products at different variable levels).
2. Refined sugarcane wax method
The refined sugarcane wax method is a detailed method for extracting and refining sugarcane wax from sugarcane filter mud. The specific steps are as follows:
Use 90~95% ethanol to extract crude sugarcane wax from the filter mud.
Boil the crude sugarcane wax with dilute hydrochloric acid and water to remove ash and other impurities.
Use 320 times the volume of 95100% ethanol and calcium hydroxide to heat and reflux to dissolve the sugarcane wax, pour out the supernatant while hot, cool to room temperature, and filter the solid.
Use 320 times the volume of 95100% ethanol to heat and reflux the above solid again, pour out the supernatant while hot, cool to room temperature filter the precipitated solid, and dry it to make refined sugarcane wax.
3. Cold soaking and hot extraction method
The cold soaking and hot extraction method uses the characteristics of sugarcane fat being easily soluble in cold alcohol and sugarcane wax being difficult to dissolve in cold alcohol for extraction. The specific steps are as follows:
First, use cold alcohol to extract sugarcane fat and part of the pigment. The cold soaking temperature should not be too high to avoid extracting part of the sugarcane wax.
After the sugarcane fat is exhausted, steam is introduced to control the alcohol temperature within an appropriate range to extract the sugarcane wax with hot alcohol.
Although the equipment and process of this method are relatively simple, the amount of solvent and steam used is large, and the production cost is high.
4. Other methods
In addition to the above methods, some researchers have extracted sugarcane wax through different process conditions and solvent ratios. For example, a specific solvent ratio, material-liquid ratio, extraction time, and other conditions are optimized to improve the extraction rate of sugarcane wax.
In summary, there are many methods for extracting sugarcane wax, and the appropriate method should be selected according to actual production needs and conditions. At the same time, during the extraction process, attention should be paid to controlling the process parameters and conditions to improve the extraction efficiency and product quality.
