CIMA-1350 EVA polymer wax is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) type wax. It has good chemical stability and is resistant to many chemicals. It is usually white or slightly yellow solid particles or flakes. This solid form is convenient for storage and transportation, and is easy to handle during processing. It can provide cushioning and shock absorption effects, such as on some materials that require flexible coatings.
Uses
As a rheological additive:
adding it to the coating can adjust the rheological properties of the coating. During the storage of the coating, it can prevent the pigment from settling and maintain the stability of the coating. During construction, it can improve the leveling of the coating, so that the coating can be evenly spread on the surface of the coated object, reduce sagging and orange peel phenomenon, and thus improve the appearance quality of the coating.
As a slip agent and anti-scratch agent:
When the coating is dry, CIMA-1350 EVA polymer wax can form a smooth protective film on the surface of the coating. This film can reduce the friction coefficient of the coating surface, make the coating have good slipperiness, and can resist scratches from external objects, extending the service life of the coating.
Applicable fields
Architectural coatings:
Applicable to interior and exterior wall coatings, which can improve the weather resistance, scratch resistance and leveling properties of coatings. In the exterior wall coatings of buildings, its scratch resistance and weather resistance can protect the coating layer from damage by the natural environment (such as wind, sand, rain erosion); in interior wall coatings, good leveling properties can make the wall coating smoother and smoother, and improve the beauty of interior decoration.
Industrial coatings:
including metal coatings, plastic coatings, etc. In metal coatings, it can prevent the coating on the metal surface from being scratched, and at the same time enhance the adhesion between the coating and the metal; in plastic coatings, it can improve the adhesion of the coating on the plastic surface, and provide scratch resistance and slip-increasing effects, which is suitable for the coating of automotive plastic interior parts, plastic pipes, etc.
